Our Work

MiracleFeet started its program in Pakistan in October 2022 to bridge the technical and financial gaps to ensure quality clubfoot treatment to all patients across the KP province. MiracleFeet’s support ensures that clinics have adequate treatment supplies including braces, and ensure providers receive quality training in the Ponseti method, community mobilization, advocacy strategies, and early detection and referral pathways. Before MiracleFeet’s involvement, the clubfoot clinic was struggling with material supplies, specially foot abduction brace, and effective management of data for better monitoring and evaluations of the program.

Our Partner

MiracleFeet’s partner in Pakistan, Paraplegic Centre Peshawar (PCP) (Paraplegic Center – Where Hopes Remain Alive), is one of Pakistan’s most established and respected rehabilitation institutions, with a history spanning more than four decades. Originally established by the International Committee of the Red Cross in 1984 and re-established as an autonomous body under an Act of Parliament in 2009 in collaboration with the Department of Health, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, PCP operates as a 120-bed facility governed by a Board of Directors and led by a full-time Chief Executive Officer.

Since joining MiracleFeet’s partnership in 2023, PCP has expanded its clubfoot network from a single clinic to 15 active sites, enrolling more than 5,800 children across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. In just the last fiscal year, a total of 3,010 new enrollments were recorded in Pakistan.

The dedicated clubfoot clinics at the National Institute of Rehabilitation and Medicine, Islamabad, and Children Hospital Lahore are major contributors to clubfoot treatment enrollment. MiracleFeet and Paraplegic Centre Peshawar are committed to jointly monitoring clinical treatment and quality, evaluating program and clinic performance and results, holding each other accountable, and leveraging learning opportunities.
