Tanzania: Two Generations, Different Possibilities

May 01, 2020

Matinde was born with bilateral clubfoot. So was his father. And his oldest sister. But he is the first in his family to receive treatment—from a MiracleFeet-supported clinic 60 KM from their home, one of 40 run by our local partner, the Tanzania Clubfoot Care Organization.

Matinde’s father has navigated his entire life with the painful disability of neglected clubfoot.

“Thanks to this treatment, my son won’t have to face many of the struggles and hardships I’ve had to deal with throughout my life.”

Nearly 3,000 children are born with clubfoot in Tanzania every year.
