Clarks Shoes Visits Cambodia Clubfoot Clinic
2012, MiracleFeet secured a partnership with British shoe manufacturer Clarks to help develop what would eventually become the MiracleFeet brace used around the world today. In the past six years, Clarks Shoes and Clarks Shoes North America have donated a combined total of over $1 million and hundreds of hours of consulting expertise towards the development of a high-quality Ponseti brace
Last month, a representative from Clarks had the opportunity to see a MiracleFeet-supported clinic in action. Our partners at NextSteps in Cambodia hosted Julian Yorke of Clarks as he visited a clinic in Phnom Penh and met with the three surgeons who work there. Afterward, Yorke and Colleen Orange of NextSteps visited two patients in their homes. It was an opportunity to see firsthand the difference clubfoot treatment makes in a child’s life, and to celebrate the important role Clarks continues to play in making treatment possible.
Because of Clarks, 7,000 children born with clubfoot have been able to receive treatment at our partner clinics and the MiracleFeet brace is now available in 14 countries. We look forward to many more years of successful partnerships.
