Cecilia Opeyemi Afolabi
Technical Program Officer, Clinical & Systems – Nigeria
Cecilia Opeyemi Afolabi is a physiotherapist with over eight years of experience in clinical practice, data quality, public health programming, and project coordination. She has over three years of experience in clubfoot programming, focusing on program implementation and quality improvement.
At MiracleFeet, Cecilia strengthens clinical quality, data quality, partner capacity, and technical performance across the Nigeria program. She joins MiracleFeet from the Health and Development Support Programme (HANDS), where she served as Project Coordinator for the Clubfoot Project. In that role, she oversaw the identification and enrollment of more than 3,000 children and managed operational and clinical quality across 32 clinics in 12 states and four geopolitical zones. She worked closely with Medical Champions and clinic teams to monitor quality of care, support clinical trainings, coordinate program activities, and resolve technical challenges.
Previously, Cecilia served as a Field Officer with REACH/ACTED in Nigeria and as a Physiotherapist at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital. Outside of work, Cecilia enjoys board games, spending time with friends, and meeting new people
