About Our Work

The Hospital and Rehabilitation Center for Disabled Children (HRDC) was the first Nepali organization to offer the Ponseti method for the treatment of clubfoot in 2004. HRDC, which is based in Kavre District near Kathmandu, remains the leading and most focused Ponseti provider in Nepal, with a record of 3,721 children treated from January 2004 to April 2014. A visit by a MiracleFeet program manager to Nepal in June 2014 eventually led to the opening of the Lahan Clubfoot Clinic on January 1, 2015, a joint project of HRDC and MiracleFeet. In its first two months of operation, the clinic managed to treat 38 children. The clinic now operates with several full-time staff members.
