He has built and led teams to establish globally recognized and highly awarded program models reaching millions of beneficiaries. Suresh is an alumnus of the Institute of Rural Management, Anand. He has been associated with International Development Enterprises India and Educate Girls. Away from work, he loves to spend time with wife and daughter.

Dr. Alaric Aroojis
Medical Director, MiracleFeet India and Global Operations

Dr. Aroojis serves as an Honorary Consultant, Paediatric Orthopaedics at the Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children, Mumbai, India. After completing his medical school and Orthopaedic residency from the premier King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, he worked as a Specialist Registrar at the B.J.Wadia Hospital for Children where his interest in Paediatric Orthopaedics was kindled. He subsequently completed accredited Fellowship training in Paediatric Orthopaedics at the Alfred duPont Hospital for Children, USA and the National University Hospital, Singapore from 2000 – 01. He has also visited several centers in USA, Europe, and Australia for advanced training in Paediatric Orthopaedics. He has a strong academic & research interest and has more than 100 publications & scientific presentations related to Paediatric Orthopaedics. He has been the recipient of several prestigious awards and scholarships and has also delivered lectures as faculty at over 175 conferences and workshops in India and abroad.

Dr. Alaric Aroojis is one of the leading authorities on the treatment of clubfoot and was selected as the sole representative from India to attend the 1st International Clubfoot Symposium on the Ponseti technique at Iowa, USA in 2007. Despite his vast experience in all methods of clubfoot treatment, including soft-tissue & bony surgeries and the use of external fixators, he is a strong advocate of the Ponseti technique, even in older children. He conducted the 1st Workshop in India on the Ponseti method of clubfoot treatment in Mumbai in 2003. Since then he has conducted various Ponseti training workshops all over India and in neighboring countries such as Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan & Philippines. He was recently awarded the prestigious Silver Jubilee Oration of the Indian Orthopaedic Association on the topic “The India Clubfoot Programme: a novel public-private partnership approach to clubfoot eradication through a nation-wide treatment programme” in 2017. He has been an Executive Board Member & currently serves as the Hon. Secretary of the Paediatric Orthopaedic Society of India (POSI). He is nominated to the Medical Advisory Board of the Ponseti International Association and the Global Clubfoot Initiative.

Rijo Joseph
Program Manager

Rijo is a professional social worker in the medical and psychiatric field with experience working with diverse populations. His experience includes work with the Multiple Sclerosis Society of India Pune chapter, The Armed Force Medical College Psychiatric Wing of the Indian Army, Ruby Hall Multi Specialty Hospital and Cipla Palliative Care Centre.

Rijo’s research interests include quality of life of cancer patients in palliative care, coping strategies for caregivers of patients palliative care, emotional state of the caretakers dealing with mentally ill patients, knowledge, attitude, practice and perceived barriers for premalignant cervical cancer screening among women, and a study of stress and coping mechanisms of ATM security guards due to the nature of their work.

Rijo holds a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Pune University, Post Graduate Diploma in Interdisciplinary Certificate Course in Gender  Studies/ Women Studies from Pune University, a Master’s in Philosophy from Allahabad University, and a Bachelor’s in Philosophy from Vikram University.

He is fluent in English, Hindi, and Malayalam with a functional knowledge of Marathi and Tamil, and enjoys traveling, reading, photography, and cooking.

Siby Mathew
Sr. Executive, Human Resource

Siby has over 7 years of experience in Human Resource, having worked mostly in the areas of talent acquisition in the hotel and manufacturing sectors. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Application and has completed the Advanced Diploma in Human Resource. Outside of work she enjoys traveling and loves to spend time with family.

Jahnvi Shah
Development Manager

Jahnvi has over nine years of experience working with law firms and corporations. Her academic background includes a Masters in Biotechnology from Bangalore University and a degree in Law (LL.B) from Mumbai University. She is a certified CSR professional by the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India). Outside of work, she enjoys swimming, reading, traveling and watching movies.

Shirish Srivastava
Program Manager, Uttar Pradesh

An accomplished public health professional with more than nineteen years of experience with diverse populations. He has expertise in project development & management, program monitoring, partnership management, donor relations, human resources, and financial management. His experience includes work with the HIV/AIDS, Social Marketing, CSR Management, Pharmaceutical, and FMCG & International trade sectors.

Shirish is adept at designing and leading comprehensive health programs on key public health issues. He is acknowledged for having successfully managed large-scale programs to improve the health and welfare of the vulnerable, especially women and children.

Prior to joining MiracleFeet India, Shirish worked in middle management roles with leading organizations; in the capacity of the Manager (Programs) for Public Health Foundation of India & National AIDS Control Organization. Project Manager for Nutrition International & Business Development Manager for Emaxicom Limited based at Luanda, Angola.

Shirish’s program experience comprises of working with governments of India in the states of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Assam & NE states, partners and donors, such as Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Global Fund,  and United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Shirish has a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from Institute of Management & Technology, Ghaziabad, India as well as Master of Social Studies from the Indira Gandhi National Open University in New Delhi, India

Previous key achievements include:

  • Developed a strategic roadmap for the Public Health Foundation of India (Gujarat) for Employer Led Model (ELM) services focusing on the poor and marginalized migrant workforce of India
  • Working for Technical Support Group, National AIDS Control Organization (NACO), led a team of experts and sub-grantee NGOs to implement the condom social marketing program in eleven HIV high-prevalence states of India
  • As part of the middle management team working with Nutrition International, was responsible for overall development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Fortification Program of Gujarat

He is fluent in English & Hindi with a functional knowledge of Gujarati. He enjoys traveling, classical music, reading & cricket.

Dr. Kalpana J. Urkade
Monitoring & Evaluation Manager

Dr. Kalpana has rich experience working on public health issues. Her major focus area has been community participation in health systems, where she gained extensive experience in disease surveillance and outbreak management. Her skills in stakeholder management are a result of experience working with diverse populations. Her specialty has been in social determinants of health.

Dr. Kalpana has worked in the public health departments of Maharashtra and Chattisgarh. She has also worked with the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai as Program Manager in Saksham Jan Urja.  She received her Masters in Hospital Administration from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.

She loves spending time with her family, especially with her daughter. In her leisure time, she enjoys making crafts and sketches.

Mr. Premnarayen is an experienced entrepreneur who founded the ICS Group in 1998. He holds numerous directorships, including one with Tata International Limited. He has served as President of the IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (2016-17) and is Chair of the Womens’ Business Advisory Council in India.
