About our work

In Myanmar, a country of 30 million people, many families are not aware of clubfoot treatment options or have little or no access to providers trained in the Ponseti Method. In partnership with Walk for Life Myanmar (WFLM), MiracleFeet supports clubfoot treatment by training orthopedic surgeons and building clinic capacity throughout the country.

In 2013, WFLM began supporting the Ponseti training of orthopedic surgeons in Mandalay, Magway, and Yangon and has since partnered with additional Myanmar clinics to support treatment of hundreds of clubfoot patients.

In addition to providing treatment and support to children with clubfoot, WFLM works to strengthen and improve the treatment results in all program-supported clinics. WFLM also collaborates with the Ministry of Health, orthopedic surgeons, local NGOs, and other groups to raise awareness, support early detection and referrals, and offer ongoing training and support.
