Dr. Ekene Isikaku is MiracleFeet’s Senior Program Field Officer for West and Central Africa supporting the development and implementation of national-driven programs aimed at timely and equitable treatment of clubfoot in West and Central Africa. Ekene supports efforts to drive enrollment, ensure treatment quality, facilitate the integration of clubfoot into national public health systems, and support policy developments relevant to clubfoot. Ekene is a public health physician and certified project management specialist with 14+ years of experience in both public and private health sectors. Ekene has contributed to the efforts of some international organizations such as FHI360, the Institute of Human Virology Nigeria, PEPFAR, and CDC/ACTION PLUS UP projects. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka Nigeria, and a Masters of Public Health from Cardiff University, Wales. Based in Abuja, Nigeria Ekene enjoys cooking, dancing, and playing the piano. In the early stages of her career, she received an honorary recognition for Community Development in appreciation of her community health project and health promotion activities.
